I just spent over 12 hours at school today. Super tired. More so especially since I got about 5 hours of sleep last night. Yesterday family and I went to see Il Divo. Everything was really good, the singing especially, and they managed to incorporate rock into popera, making it more like rockera. The only thing that was a bit wince-worthy was the mixing at the start. They seemed a little too bass-happy, which is ok for metal and pure rock, but not when you have a string ensemble and woodwinds and all sorts of airy treble instruments. It cleared up around the third song or so, and the rest of the concert was good. The guys were really funny when they were bantering between the songs, and the funniest part was when one of them forgot his lyrics and had to start it again. No one seemed to mind too much, and it only happened 2 times.

Since that was a night concert, it finished really late, and I got home around 10. Used the internet till 1 in the morning, cos I'm an internet-addict, never mind that class started at 8 today. Was thinking of cutting but didn't cos I'm too guai. No one was really paying much attention in class anyway so spent the time studying. After lessons everyone migrated to the computer rooms to do more studying. By that time I was sick of looking at the stupid book, so spent time playing out showtunes and stuff on the keyboard with MP. Managed to have fun jamming session.

Test was delayed because the class using the place before us was really slow, so it was pushed back an hour. Managed to get our studio booking time extended all the way till 8! Finished test at breakneck speed and zoomed up to chope the studio. Had trouble fixing the DI box up, and we wasted quite a bit of time. Managed to get it running eventually, and MP did the honour of adding keyboard pads and her solo. The next portion was spent giving last minute guitar tuition to one of our classmates. He managed to make it much nicer than the crap we did last week, and it now sounds like one of the nicest parts of the song ^o^

Last thing we did today was the singing part. Our singer had a bit of trouble since she was recovering from the flu, and she wasn't entirely used to singing in G, but we managed to get a pretty good recording. And yay for EQing!

Our last recording session is on Monday, the day before the deadline. Probably gonna add a few more pads to beef some bits up, and possibly some harmonizing bits for the singing. Monday is also KEYS test day. Haven't practiced the improv part, and I didnt know we had to apply modulation!!!! D:

Now that the test is over, we have no more ACTS, or Theory, for that matter......which means that THURSDAY IS NO SCHOOL!!!!!!
