As I type this I'm sitting in the hotel's internet cafe. I knew I wouldn't last a day without my internet; my gmail, my facebook, my youtube, my fanfics. And cos I'm pretty nervous so what better way to distract myself than a nice relaxing round of Word Challenge (now at 80k).
I seem to love giving myself last-minute scares, cos I have (yet again) changed my audition piece. Now I'm playing Aeris' Theme. I realised that Brawl is a minute short of the 3-5 minute thing. Even though I'm not applying for Performance, it might be safer to follow the guidelines. And it's nice and relaxing, and I can stretch and stretch it. The real thing I wanna show is my portfolio. Test audiences have given positive feedback so I'm feeling a bit better. Only scared of the feedback I might get from the speakers.....if there are any.......if I even know how to set it up........>_<
Then I can go home and get back to rotting. Everything is sooooo nice and cheap. Turned into a shopaholic and bought stuff....mostly food, but some clothes as well.
This week had a good performance with the Jazzband people. First time in so long since we had that "chemistry". Even though we didn't practice at all...and chose the songs last minute.....and people were singing in the wrong key cos I forgot we transposed it....and the monitors sucked......it came out great! Fun fun fun! Happy to have such a good fun band=D
Only thing that can stop me now is if my computer blows up.....(hope not, it cost 3k).....but then I have a CD (but then it's a data CD, cos I have a movie)....so it's lucky I have it on a hard drive as well (I hope someone there has a spare laptop)...so I should be ok....unless no one can spare a laptop. In which case I'm screwed.
Leaving in an hour or so, hope it goes ok...
