Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy concert

I saw Nobuo Uematsu at the Distant Worlds concert!!! Awesomeness, right at the start some random guy was shouting stuff and turned out he was cheering for Uematsu-sensei. He was sitting like 10 rows in front of me!!!!!!!!
Well everyone knows what I think of game music, so there isn't much for me to add. Heard most of the songs on my More Friends CD, and some new ones I liked were Vamo alla Flamenco (FF9), Ronfaure (FF11), Fisherman's Horizon (FF8) and Distant Worlds (FF11).
One-Winged Angel was significantly absent from the programme list, which could only mean one thing......... sure enough, they rolled it out as their 2nd encore piece, the video all ready to go (they knew!!!!).
Then they had a QA session with Uematsu Sensei and Arnie Roth (the conductor. I think he was here for Play!! 2 years ago as well) so I made our party migrate closer to the stage. We were only 3m apart!!!!! I wanted to ask a question but the mod-guy didn't pick me=( I should've done something crazy. Oh well, next time.
As we exited the concert hall I was in full fangirl mode and kept bugging Char. And as we reached the door (they were giving out Coke Lights) I turned around and Uematsu-sensei was right behind meeeeee!!!!!!!
Well, surrounded by his security guards but you get it.
We were too late to join the autograph queue. I was very upset, so we went right up to the barrier in front of the table and started snapping pics like the paparazzi we were.
I hope I can meet him one day, he seems like a cool guy=)
Will put photos once I get them from Char. ^__^

I'm back from the US. It was a rather nice trip, and the jet lag wasn't so bad this time round. Only I slept a lot less there (I could wake up at 6am...though maybe it's cos their 6am is as bright as our 10am) and sleep was really knocked-out sleep.
(1 week later edit:) Ok, the jet lag is bad. I'm alternating between days with 12 hours of sleep and days with no sleep. It feels kind of trippy but irritating cos I can't seem to get anything done.
ANYWAY
It was nice there, though really cold and dry. Lots of pretty flowers. Spring might be my new favourite season
Day #0
Whee on the plane! I managed to get a window seat for the first time in years! There was lots of nice sky up there....I saw lots of stars, like the kind you see in movies when there aren't lots of clouds....And actually managed to see the sun rising. The sky is the best place to watch it IMO=)
Day #1
A day to explore the place. A cold, dry, breezy place but they have lots of pretty flowers. Went to get all the school stuff done there.....they had a tour.....there was lots of walking, and surprisingly became quite hot in the afternoon.
Day #2
Went to church there! It's about 3 train stations away, but walking lets you see all the cool churches, parks and stuff. In afternoon it got as hot as Singapore 0.o
Day #3
More exploring...... and stuff
Day #4
Went to explore Harvard.....but in the end was too lazy to walk around so ended up eating these really nice burgers. They have funny names: "The Facebook", "The America Idol", "The Obama", etc. Started shopping for presents for people
Day #5
Feeling jet lagged (still) so hung around in the hotel.
Day #6
We drove back up to New York. Shell was there! It was nice and warm compared to Boston. She brought us to the Nintendo shop! Cue geek-mode. They have so many cute pokemon plushies and I wanted to buy them all but they wouldn't fit in my suitcase and anyway I have lots at home and if I'm going to move there I'll have lots more chances to buy them anywayyy!!!!
I got some shirts for people and myself. Hehe, Mine has Lumas on them. I like Lumas.
Hehe Luma~
Day #7
Flying hoooooome again.......
And got home just in time for Singapore to be raised to Orange Alert. So that meant an extra week of house arrest.......
