Mission brief: Travel to the Eunos province and locate one No 10 Ubi Crescent
STAGE 1
Step 1-1: Leave house at 1230hrs
Step 1-2: Take train to Eunos
Step 1-2b: Quiz self on interview questions, but get bored halfway and decide to mentally sing as much of Les Miserables as I can to pass the time
Step 1-3: Reach Eunos
Step 1-4: Locate bus stop at Sims Avenue
Step 1-5: Confirm that bus 63 does indeed have Ubi Tech Park as its 9th stop
Step 1-6: Identify a 63 bus
Step 1-6b: Because it’s only 1305hrs, and I’m on the Waltz of Treachery, decide to wait for the next bus.
Step 1-7: Finally board the bus at 1340hrs
Step 1-8: Sit down but get distracted cos I don’t know Act 2 very well
Step 1-8b: Lose count of bus stops so after 8(?[turns out I was right]) ask the bus driver which stop is the tech park. It is the next one.
Step 1-9: Wander straight down from the bus stop, but after passing Ubi Avenue number 53, conclude something must be wrong. Seek directions from security guard.
Step 1-10: Retrace steps and enter one of those shiny blue buildings across the road.
Step 1-11: Stealthily tail employees through a hidden path in the bushes.
Step 1-12: Encounter their first line of defense: stray cat.
Step 1-13: Succeed in resisting distraction from cat and enter building through a cargo bay.
INFILTRATION: COMPLETE
Yeah….i felt like some variety. Took me a long walk to find a bus going to the train. I keep forgetting I hate that stupid bag with the korea soccer or olympics or whatever logo in it. Keeps cutting shoulder. And chest was all sweaty from hugging my laptop cos it won’t fit in. I was talking to Kai on the phone, as well. The bus took ages to come, and stopped “opposite” the MRT. More like several busstops away.
Trekked through a carpark to get there, then as was waiting for the road to be clear, a taxi pulled up. I figured “screw this I’m tired” and decided to meet Char at PS. The exchange that followed was rather...yeah....
Me: Plaza Singapura.
Taxi Uncle: What? Sorry, uncle deaf one side.
Me: Plaza Singapura!
Taxi Uncle: Bradell Crescent? Ok!
Me: Plaza Singapura!!
Taxi Uncle: Bradell Cresent?
Me:….. DHOBY GAUT
T.U: Oooh, Dhoby Gaut. That’s at Plaza Singapura, you know.
Me: …
I don’t know why, but the taxi uncle started talking about his life. From…oh I saw u standing there so I stopped, in the old days people would be ok but nowadays youngers are so suspicious I mean I’m not forcing you to take a taxi its your own decision to make….to complaining about the dubious university qualifications certain foreigners have…..to meritocracy…..

Step 2-3: No one inside, so take the time to set up perimeter
Step 2-4: Locate washroom
Step 2-5: Go down the corridor to office no 100 to check out what other stuff they have: jewellery, cleaning services, a room with modern art sculptures and one with lots of weighing machines
Step 2-6: Realise that the toilet was actually in an offshoot around office 80
Step 2-7: Return to interview office at 1420hrs
Step 2-8: Estimated length of corridor – 200m

Step 3-4: Try and make friends with other SP people after the same job…..-_- (she’s from DIT though, so maybe different?)
Step 3-5: Go into interview room and answer questions eg explain what your course(s) does, what are you interested in, what are your future plans.
Step 3-6: Show off portfolio (was I the only one who brought their portfolio??)
Step 3-7: Try not to look upset when career plans are criticized. Oh well.
Step 3-8: “Don’t call us, we’ll call you!” …
Step 3-9: Say bye to the DMC interviewee who just arrived
Step 3-10: Exit building

Hope I can get the job, my free time is ending...... on the plus side, I now have a big stack of anime that I can use to fill said free time....
