I endured about 24 hours of envy before getting the phone call from one of our teachers. So...that made me feel a bit stupid. And then we went for the briefing, which was to explain the whole thing to us, and to give us the impression that everyone was going to go for it, cos ya'know, I didn't find out there was a selection process until after the talk. Kinda assumed it was a sure thing, specially since our results came out not long after and I'd achieved the minimum.
So, that meant applying time! Happy happy! I happily clicked the button and then went off to watch stuff on Youtube, feeling happy. Parents were happy too. So happy that they went around and told everyone about it. Then came the Application Result day, which was last Monday. And as fate would have it my account chose to have technical difficulties, so I couldn't see any results: a Congratulations Your Future Is Less Screwed or u suk kthxbai
Ended up calling the people to find out what the heck happened, and it sort of ping-ponged back and forth for one day, after which they called mum who told me I was cut from the list. Cue descent into Gloom and Doom phase, in which much junk food was consumed, much bad porn was read, and much emo poetry written (I kid you not:O). I was pretty unhappy for the next uh....48 hours approximately. Someone from school left a number while I was out emoing my soul in the pouring emo rain, and after some confusion, found out I was back in again.

The worst thing that can happen now is if I go to the orientation and they find out whoops, your name's not on the list, better go home lol bb. Seeing how the yes-no-yes-no pattern has gone so far, I think I'd only be half-surprised. Only this time it might manifest as EmoRage rather than EmoMoping.
Things don't seem too bad now, even though I'm still struggling to write lyrics tomorrow I'm going to see Phantom with my cousins and some of their little friends! I wasn't going to go at all, cos I've seen it in the US, heard in on the CD, and watched it on the TV, but I was offered a free ticket and what Singaporean can say no to free stuff? Besides, I like Phantom. It is my faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavourite musical.

...It went shittily. Despite attempts at last minute cramming and doping up on bananas, it was shit. I am sad. I mean, I tried sooooo hard, and got so far, but IN THE END IT DOESNT EVEN MATTER NUUUUUUU!!!11 DD8
The only good thing bananas did was to help my hands to not shake or freeze up, and so didn't have too many mistakes ("didn't have too many" =/= "perfectly perfect happy happy joyjoy lol").
However, all the sugar had me thinking a mile-a-minute, I fell asleep a couple of times (not literally, of course, I'm not that good), almost got my fingers stuck under the keys, and nearly started on my repertoire of my current favourite songs :OO As funny as that would have been if it had happened (once all the mortification wore off:P), I don't think the examiner would enjoy a medley of Phantom of the Opera and various assorted Broadway musical songs. But seriously, don't know why I was so distracted today. It's never happened before and if it ends up happenning on that day it will be bad.
Not that anxiety over the exam is keeping me away from the computer, though lol.

Nothing much to do next week, maybe I'll go walk around town and look emo or something. But knowing me, I'll attempt to force myself to crawl out of the emo and try to fix what I mostly destroyed today but end up not really doing it well, hence wasting lots of time.
I wish I were a Creative Emo! Then I could get lots of stuff done! And probably get more As for assignments. But as things stand I've discovered I'm more of a Moping Emo, which is a pretty pointless state of being, cos you just sort of sit around and whine about how emo you are. I feel like my life is an anime, just minus all the cute guys. I swear, all the good ones have gone to JC, there must be a conspiracy D:
Speaking of which, I feel like getting some mangas! Just bought Saiyuki Reload 6 this week. Finally, they get to the part that isn't in the anime, and when their characters start to branch out a bit. I mean the anime was a bit......er, ok, but they turned everyone into emopuppets and made Hazel really really gay. Um...I don't mean it in a bad way. I mean it in an only-anime-fans-will-get-it kind of way.

Might go out tomorrow, since it feels kinda wrong to be spending the whole day indoors. I went out just last saturday and bought a book, and now I've read it through about twice. I'm bored. And I managed to find some pretty socks the day after I bitched about not having any nice cool socks. Just wondering what I can possibly pair it with now. I could always wear them to bed; the air-con sometimes goes funny.
And spending money might be a good way to stop killing my brain with stress. I've been obsessive-compulsive over getting stuff done the past few weeks; what with exams and concerts and songs, and with the GPA scores to add to my grief WHY, GODDESSES, WHY?!?!, I might just go nuts right before my 2nd year. V.V
I shall stop talking now, and start pasting the quizzes.

Screw unhappy. I'm bleeping upset. Someone on the marking team must hate me.
On a side note, I want to buy some socks. The long colourful ones, with thick horizontal stripes; the kind that gothy people always wear. Cos Goth-wear is damn cool, and I have lots of funny coloured blotches on my legs from mosquito bites and ffalling down and stuff. And I won't be as cold in the exam room when you have to wear formal clothes (no jeans).
Yay Death Note! Anime is so fun to watch. L is my fav character cos we have the same kind of hair. Having perpetual bed-head is good for making fashion statements. And L proves that going around with a stupid expression can make you popular and cool!
Light is meh, okay, but he always makes me think of Tamaki from Ouran. And it's really funny cos I think they have the same voice actor, but they're on the extreme ends of the scale. Hehehehehehehe.
I feel like eating sushi. Like really really feel. Really irritating cos whenever I feel like eating sushi there's no sushi around or I"m not hungry, and when there's sushi around I feel "bleh".
Eating gummy bears now. Yum yum. I like the red ones the most cos they taste sweeter than the others.
Oh yeah and sorry for daoing your emails Jo!!!! I am free to go out on Thursday or Friday for dinner (where are we going btw), and prolly will be allowed to stay out later now that I'm getting.....OLD. Where did all the time go?! I still feel like I'm 15. I mean look at Shell! One minute SHE was 15 too and suddenly boom she's like a million 20 :OOOOOO

Had to go to school today for dip-plus briefing. Am not getting enough sleep these past few weeks. Had to keep getting up early last week for babysitting duty, and since that takes up half the day, I have to squeeze everything else which ends up with me surfing till 1-2 am.
Our double-dip thing is focusing on digital media, which sounds pretty interesting: we can learn graphics, 3d-making skillz, authoring (?), or audio-video. So at least now we should be able to design the ads we write jingles for. Though if I actually apply for it it'll feel like I'm planting the flowers to put on my grave.
This year gonna be damn busy. Big assignments + Gem + piano exam + double-dip + internship = dead
And tomorrow have to get up early again to get a lift to school with ben. This time gonna try and sneak into the studios to see how bad my singing sounds and what I can do for my assignment to hide it.
Just came back from vivocity. Went out for lunch and movie with MP. Bakerzin is really nice but very very ex. Spent some angbao money on it and then went to watch Dreamgirls. It's a very depressing movie. Made me regret spending all that money and putting more into my Old and Destitute Fund.
